On Friday 15 August 2008, ThaiBev’s top management and IR team went to Singapore for the Half Year 2008 Results Briefing to analysts, institutional and retail investors at the InterContinental Hotel, Singapore. Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, ThaiBev’s President and CEO, along with Mr. Sithichai Chaikriangkrai, Director and SVP, and Mr. Jean Lebreton, SVP, answered interesting questions from investors after the results presentation by Mr. Richard Jones, ThaiBev’s Head of IR.

At the event, Chang Beer Export was served and the “Sabai Sabai” cocktail, based from Mekhong spirits, was introduced to consumers in Singapore and was well-received.

ThaiBev joins Invest Fair 2008

Thai Beverage Plc., as a Sapphire Sponsor, recently joined ‘Invest Fair 2008’ at Suntec Convention Center in Singapore. Held for the second consecutive year, the event provides a platform for investors to learn on the latest financial products and services, as well as to understand the market outlook from the experts. Mr. Richard Jones, the Head of IR, presented ThaiBev’s business outlook for prospective retail investors and shareholders at two seminar sessions on both Saturday and Sunday.

Invest Fair is the largest investment exhibition organized by Share Investor and supported by the Singapore Exchange.

ThaiBev holds 2007 Results Briefing in Singapore

On 3 March 2008, ThaiBev’s executives and IR and PR team hosted a 2007 Results Briefing for institutional and retail investors at the InterContinental Hotel, Singapore. The company announced a net profit of 10.383 billion baht in 2007 - a 328-million-baht, or 3.3%, increase and will pay a dividend of 70 per cent of net profit, or 0.29 baht per share equal to a total of 7.282 billion baht, to shareholders. This includes an interim dividend paid in the first half of the year. ThaiBev’s Management team, including Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi – President and CEO; Mr. Ueychai Tantha-Obhas, Mr. Sithichai Chaikriangkrai and Dr. Pisanu Vichiensanth - Directors and Senior Vice Presidents, answered the questions raised by investors.

Factory Visit:
December 13-14, 2007

A group of Singapore investors had the chance to visit two of ThaiBev’s plants during a visit from 13 – 14 December 2007. ThaiBev and ShareInvestor organized the visits for these investors to experience firsthand the production facilities and modern technology behind ThaiBev’s products. This was the first time ThaiBev had arranged for retail investors visit the various production facilities.

The group first toured the SangSom distillery at Nakornpathom, where they view the production process of SangSom and Mungkornthong. Mr Nusorn Tanphan, Plant Manager, and Mr Prasit Tangjitrapitak, Deputy Plant Manager, were on hand to welcome the guests. The Deputy Plant Managers began the tour with a presentation on the distillery and the production processes involved in creating the various products. After the presentation, the group got the chance to tour the entire production line, from the actual distilling of the spirits to the bottling and packing of the finished products. The group also ventured into the cellars where SangSom rum is stored and aged.

Next stop for the group was the Beer Thip Brewery in Ayutthaya, which produces Chang Beer, Archa Beer, Chang water and soda. General Patana Putananon, Managing Director of the brewery, welcomed the group, who then met Dr. Pisanu Vichiensanth, ThaiBev Director and Senior Vice President – Beer Production. A Master Brewer himself, Dr. Pisanu gave an informative description of the beer brewing process to the investors and engaged in an in-depth question and answer session thereafter. The group then explored the compound where Chang Beer is produced, visited the various brewing process stages and also tasted various ThaiBev products.

The group visit ended with ThaiBev souvenirs for everyone, as well as pleasant memories of their time with ThaiBev.

ThaiBev Half Year Briefing 2007 :

On 21 August 2007, ThaiBev hosted a half year briefing for H1 2007 results for institutional and retail investors at the Intercontinental Hotel, Singapore. ThaiBev’s Management team, including Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi - Director and Executive Vice President; Mr. Ueychai Tantha-Obhas, Mr. Sithichai Chaikriangkrai and Dr. Pisanu Vichiensanth - Directors and Senior Vice Presidents, answered the questions raised by investors.

Factory Visit:

March 22-23, 2007 - Analysts from Thailand and Singapore visited two of ThaiBev’s plants from 22nd to 23rd March 2007. The trip was planned to help the analysts obtain a better understanding of ThaiBev’s production operations and provide an opportunity for the company to interact with the analysts.

On 22 March, after meeting the group of Singapore analysts from the Suvarnabhumi Airport, the entire group of about 10, including some analysts from Bangkok, proceeded to the Sangsom distillery in Nakorn Pathom, about two hours away from Bangkok.

After a short briefing, the group toured the distillery where they viewed first-hand, the different processes involved in the production of Sangsom. The group also got a chance to see the storage building where the Sangsom products are aged, as well as the bottling lines.

After the tour, the group proceeded to Kamphaengphet in northern Thailand, to visit the Beer Thai Brewery.

On 23 March, the entourage made their way to the Beer Thai Brewery, where Chang beer is produced. The group first visited the Chang clinic where local people can seek treatment for free. Medicine at the Clinic are sold at cost price, but in exceptional circumstances are provided free for the poor. Then, the group viewed the brewery’s clean environment and modern facilities. Dr Pisanu Vichiensanth, Director and Senior Vice President of ThaiBev and also a Master Brewer, then received the group at the brewery. Dr Pisanu gave an informative presentation to the analysts and engaged in an in-depth question and answer session.

The group then proceeded to tour the large and modern compound where Chang Beer is produced. The facility has a production capacity of 900 million liters a year and is highly automated. The analysts visited the various brewing process stages and also tasted the different types of beer produced.

Results Briefing :

March 6, 2007 - Thai Beverage PLC hosted a briefing for media and analysts. Besides hearing about the financial results of the Group for FY2006, attendees had an opportunity to learn about ThaiBev’s recent acquisition of Inver House Distilleries, from Mr. Richard Jones, the company’s Head of Investor Relations. There followed a question and answer session during which guests and the key executives interacted on queries raised.

In line with its efforts to engage the retail investor community on an on-going basis, Thai Beverage PLC held a similar briefing specially for retail investors the following day. The same information was presented to attendees, and the Investor Relations team, headed by Mr. Richard Jones, hosted the question and answer session.

The Group’s full range of alcoholic beverages was on display at the meetings. Attendees had an opportunity to taste Sangsom, ThaiBev’s award-winning and Thailand’s most famous rum, and sample Chang Beer, the country’s most popular beer, during the buffet lunch.

Factory Visit :

September 14-16, 2006 - Thai Beverage PLC was pleased to welcome a group of analysts from Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand to visit a distillery and brewery in Thailand to learn more about the brewing and distilling of Thaibev’s products. This three-day visit started with the Sangsom distillery in Nakhon Pathom, not far from Bangkok, where the world-renowned Sangsom Thai liquor has been in production since 1977.

The group also visited our Khamphaeng Phet brewery, home of Thailand’s most popular beer, Chang, in the north of Thailand. Dr. Pisanu Vichiensanth, a ThaiBev director and Senior Vice President for production, took the group on a tour of this world class brewery. Analysts got to learn about the process of beer production and tasted different kinds of Chang beer.

At the end of this program, the group visited three major hypermarkets in Bangkok to see Thaibev's points of sale to observe the distribution and shelf placement of our numerous products.
